Do you like cookies?
As promised I've added the `Remember me' feature in the contacts and comments pages.
So now it's possible to fill the personal data form and check the `Remember me' option to get all the data dumped in a little and harmless cookie in your browser.
Next time you'll access those pages, the personal data form will be automagically filled with the data stored in the cookie.
You can delete the cookie by uncheck the `Remember me' option before send a new comment or an E-mail.
I've also removed the SMS feature in the contacts page because the mobile phone company have disabled the service... what a pity!
How appears this with Safari?
Since I'm not a lucky owner of a Mac, I cannot test my web pages under Safari.
A few days ago I've found a great free service that takes screenshots of the pages you upload using many different combinations of OS and browser.
Well, with Safari 2.0 running on a Mac OSX the site looks good, even if it seems that the size of the header content is too small.
I've tested it also under Windoze and Internet Explorer 5.0, 5.5, 6.0... no surprises!
We are all victims of the buggy box model rendering of IE!
I'm tired to face such problems, anyway, as a good webdesigner ;), I've added `hacking CSS for older versions of IE' in the TODO list. Sooner or later...
Oh, the funny service I'm talking about is here:
http://browsershots.org
and my screenshots are here (maybe).
Reboot!
Welcome to the rebooted version of this site!
In fact this is not only a redesign done to participate to the 2006 fall edition of the CSS reboot event, it's a real full reboot!
All is new and funny:
- web standards compliant (of course)
- totally Perl-powered
- user-friendly
- simple, beautiful and funny (at least for me!)
You can read more in the page dedicated to this project.
I have some new ideas and a lot of work still to do, but this is the starting-point and a lot more have to come.
For sure the design could not compete with many of the other ones who participate, but I am not a webdesigner, I wish to be good with graphics, I think I'm better with coding...
Anyway, we are talking about web standards, not only CSS and design, right?! ;)
Many thanks to all for your visits and comments!
