Flights

The closest airport to the venue is the George Airport (GRJ).

If you travel from Italy or Norway, you'll probably fly to South Africa via Johannesburg (JNB) or Cape Town (CPT).

Once there, South African Airways has several domestic flights connecting Cape Town (CPT) and Johannesburg (JNB) to George.

Flight search

We've collected some websites that can be used to search and book flights to South Africa.

  • Hipmunk: easy and effective website for comparing different solutions. It has support for multi-city flights planning.
  • Swiss Airlines: from our researches, Swiss Airlines offers one of the cheapest ticket to Johannesburg (JNB) from Zurich (ZRH); consider them if you travel from Europe.
  • Lufthansa: a bit more expensive than Swiss Airlines, but also offers some good solutions, most probably transiting through Frankfurt (FRA), and you might end up flying on a new and shiny Airbus A380 ;)
  • South African Airways: if you buy tickets separately you'll end up buying a flight to George (most probably from Johannesburg) here.

What follows is the list of suggestions for accommodation we got from Tramonto.
